The new Mercedes-Benz Museum, 2008

The Mercedes-Benz museum is the best of the manufacturer museums I have been to. I was able to visit the new museum in 2008, which was a couple of years after it opened, replacing the old museum. I was already very impressed with the old museum and this new one was a big leap ahead. Of course the rich heritage Mercedes-Benz has helps as many cars that would get prime position in pretty much any other manufacturers museum struggle to find space here.

The new Gosford Car Museum

The Gosford Car museum just opened, and Australia now has a classic car museum to rival some of the museums of the world. Having been to some great Museums around the world, this one certainly holds its own. I was able to accompany the RROC and explore the museum. Plenty of the cars on the drive up would have fit right into the collection.

2015 Sydney German car show

Today I attended the 2015 Sydney German car show, which was put on by the Mercedes Club this year. Unlike the Mercedes show I went to a few months ago, the German car show is an informal show without concours judging. Unfortunately this means some of the pristine, concours only cars don’t show up, but you do get a great selection of cars over a wide range of marques including Mercedes-Benz, Benz, BMW, Audi, NSU, Messerschmidt, Borgward, Porsche and others.
