I've seen a couple for sale over the years but it is incredibly rare and generally only see on the early cars. There is also a 220 cab in Sydney with it, plus a few coupes I've seen over the years.

regarding the ultra-rare Black 300SE Cabriolet, Manual with original Behr AC
That alone would make it rare.

But Front only Safari Seats !!
Now we are talking Unicorn status.

I have a 300SE with Safari Seats so it caught my eye. Anecdotally there were as few as 3 cars with this option in Australia. So maybe only 6 allowing for the ones no-one sees.

I had heard this was a possible option in a reference book, so I searched the
Mercedes Code Descriptions
and there it is as option 237 with 238 being the front and back option.
237 from 01.02.1963 to 30.11.1966 BUCKET SEAT FOR DRIVER SEAT LEFT + RIGHT

238 from 01.02.1963 to 30.11.1966 BUCKET SEAT FOR DRIVER AND REAR SEATS LEFT + RIG

great site thanks so much
