I took my 560SEL, and on the drive we had two W124’s – a 230E and a 300E.  Both are regulars for these drives.   There were some quite twisty roads going down towards bobbin head so it was kind of fun throwing a big car like the V126 around as we did that road.

Our route started at McDonalds Mt Colah.   From there, we took Bobbin Head Road, past the Sphinx to North Turramurra.   This part of the road is quite twisty and not clogged up with cyclists late at night.

From there, it was Mona Vale Road all the way to Mona Vale past the Bahai temple.   There were some roadworks on Mona Vale Road, but nothing too bad.   After a short section on Pittwater road, we took Wakehurst Parkway to Balgowlah, before driving to Brookvale McDonalds.

We’ve done a couple of drives to Palm Beach that use some of these roads, but this route was a new one.    I think it worked quite well and probably one to do again at some point.
